Within this reminiscence therapy, pictures are obviously one of the most important triggers to recollect memory and take someone back in time.

However, sometimes an unforgettable memory simply doesn’t have a picture.

So, we introduces a new valuable add-on for Reminisce therapy by developing a tool - using A.I - that allows people with Alzheimer to create images of memories that didn’t get captured.

For people with Alzheimer, reminiscence therapy is hugely important because it slow down the disease, provides a sense of joy, it helps them to cope with stress, reduces boredom and depression and makes life seem a little sunnier.

Memory Shots is a combination of many different AI-tools, with the aim of creating an easy to use and effective therapeutic experience for caregivers, patients and family members.

Allowing people to not only generate an image, but keep editing the same image until they feel it recaptures their memory. While adding details or answering questions from the platform, it makes people think deeper and reactivate their long term memories.

The tool gives them the ability to add their own face and those of their loved ones, and finally even adding a filter to see the memory through the lens of a camera that was used at the time of the memory.

Our platform will be open to everybody: the patient, their family, nursing home... 

No, because however the performance of our tool, an original picture taken at the event of a memory will always be stronger. Pictures allow people to be instantly taken back to the memory of that day, in all its details, whatever the moment in their lives and for Alzheimer patients, without any support of family and/or caregivers.

We developed this idea with a specialist of Alzheimer (Professor Eric Salmon from the University of Liege) and different Alzheimer organizations in Belgium. They validated our concept and provide their scientific support on top of co-organizing a series of real-life user tests with Alhzeimer patients and their caregivers/family throughout Belgium.
